Dockers dominate the Eagles at home

WINNERS: The Burnie Dockers notched another win on Saturday and continued their good form. The Burnie Dockers have continued theirpush for top spot on the Tasmanian Women’s League table with a dominant win on their home deck on Saturday.

The Dockers welcomed Evandale to West Park and were far too strong from the first bounce, taking the win 29.27 (201) to 0.1 (1).

The win keeps them within touching distance of Clarence at the top of the table and keeps a gap between themselves and Glenorchy in second and third position.

It also extends their solid run at this point of the season after an impressive win over Clarence at West Park last weekend.

There was no surprise that thw Dockers had a spread of goal kickers led by Brittany Gibson with 14 goals.

Jessica Brown kicked four goals while forward Ellyse Gamble added another three and Serena Loring and Emma Humphries kicked two each.

The home side also had six individual goal kickers in Sophie Edwards Tayla Marshall, Savahn Overall, Ashleigh Good, Taylor Grey, Jessica Whelan finishing with one.

Mersey Leven travelled south and had a tough task against the impressive Glenorchy on Saturday.

The challenge proved to be too much as the Power went down to the Magpies9.11 (64) to 1.0 (6) at KGV.

The loss to Glenorchy extends the gap between the Power and the Magpies in third and fourth position.

In other results, Clarence continued their dominance with a 17.15 (117) to 3.3 (21) win over Tiger City.
