Wanderers def Marauders 4-0Under 18 boys

WANDERERS’captain Braden Stockham setthe pace with clear cut determination, attacking the ball and creating plenty of opportunities. This putMarauders’ defence into overdrive.

With brother Harry ‘Magic goal’Stockham, the pair tookthis game to another level. Smart ball work fromJethro Eime set Wanderers up for itsfirst short corner.Shaun Fitzpatrick scoredthe first goal.Braden Stockham found the back of the goal, scoringgoal number two.

Marauders’ Guy Murphyunleasheda massive overhead and was picked up with skill by Ivo Satalic. But Wanderers’ Lachlan Fitzpatrickwas unbeatable indefence.Marauders’ Bryce Hammond showedwhat he lacks in height he makes up forwith skill.Each time this lad had the ball you could see there might be a future Kookaburra in the making.

In the second half,Vikings were onthe attack. But there was some great tacklingfrom Shae Woodlands and Harry Stockham.Braden Stockham tookhis second goal for the game, taking the score to 3-0.

Marauders’goalie Wade Laymond received a constant barrage of attacks. The game ended with a great cross in the Wanderers’ attacking circleand the ball lifted. It wasone of the best goals of the year withStutzer in front of the goal and the ball at chest height as the ball was hitinto thegoal, a truly amazing shot! Wanderers’ eyes are now firmly set towards the finals.

Panthers drew Flinders 2-2A grade women

FLINDERS’ Hannah Stanley shot a goal from the top of the circle in the first three minutes of the game.End-to-end action followed before Stanley found the back of the net again.

Britney Doyle and Zali Forbes worked hard from mid field.But defendersNicole Hancox and Amy Hirst were solid.Panthers’ persistence paid off when Lani Wise scored in the last 10 minutes of the first half.

The second half opened with short corner opportunities for both teams.Forbes converted one.Flinders created multiple opportunities, but were denied goals through the goalie’s pads and solid defence.

Three short corners in a row to Flinders, denied again by the goalie. Panthers’ goalie did a fantastic job to keep the score level.

Marauders def Wanderers 5-0B grade women

ITwas an exciting game between these two teams,with equal determination as they both can feel finals coming up soon in the next couple of weeks.It seemed both sides were missing some key players which made the play more straining on both sides.

Marauders’ attacking was quite fierce whileWanderers’ defence was very impressive.The Vikings had much more get up and go,scoring some sneaky goals.

Top marks for determination and gutsy effort to Wanderers’Stacey McCarroll, Sonia Reagan and Mariah Fox.Forthe Vikings, to Fiona Kavanagh, Amy Cullen and Penny Ellen.
