THE family of missing mother Johann Morgan have made a public appeal to help find her, one year on from her suspicious disappearance.

The mother-of-nine, and grandmother-of-eight, vanished on August 8, last year, from her West Tamworth home.

Despite several searches between Tamworth and Somerton by police dogs, divers and trained investigators, they’ve foundno trace of the 40-year-old.

Police allege shewas murdered between that date and August 10 byher former partner, Troy Jason Ruttley, who remains in custody. He is yet to enter a plea to the charge.

One year on since Ms Morganwas last seen by family, her loved ones have issued a public appeal to find her remains.

“The whole family wonderseveryday of the week where she is and what happened,” brother Spencer Morgan toldThe Leader.

“We’re just going through hell not knowing.

“Especially on special days like her birthday and mother’s day, we don’t know what to tell the grandkids and nephews because they ask‘where’s nan’, or‘when’s she coming home’, and that brings everyone else down.”

Strike Force Chiltern, which is made up of Oxley detectives, iscontinuing to investigate Ms Morgan’s disappearance and have urged anyone with information on her whereaboutsto come forward.

For the family, it means one year on, they still haven’t been able to say a proper goodbye.Mr Morgan said there was no way the family could move on without answers.

“We know a man has been charged, but we just want to know where she is,” Mr Morgan said.

“There’s no closure at all,we just want justice for Johann to bring her back and lay her to rest.”

Sister-in-law Tracy Adams said the the family had rallied together over the last year to take care of the children.

“We all remember her all the time andthe family looks after everyone, but we just wish that we had some answersso we couldbring her home,” she said.
